Amanda Weathers
I am the owner of Panther Creek Taxidermy. I started learning taxidermy in the Fall of 2009, when I decided to attend Kindred Spirits School of Taxidermy in West Burlington, IA. I completed courses covering tanning principles, game head, mammal, bird and fish taxidermy over the course of two years.
Since then I have continued my education by attending numerous conventions, competitions, seminars, and workshops. I attend these functions very regularly, in an effort to provide the best possible quality to my clients.
I am an active member of both the Illinois Taxidermists Association and the National Taxidermists Association
I was born and raised in East Central Illinois, where I still live today with my husband, Lance, and our many animals.
Like many of you, I am passionate about wildlife, nature, conservation, hunting, and fishing. I have been hunting and fishing nearly all of my life, and I have always had a desire to create art and utilize elements of biology and anatomy. This combination led me to find my passion - taxidermy.
